Tails 'n Tales
There are so many heartwarming stories of lives saved through Dallas Animal Services. From tales of inspiring rescues to stories of emotional reunions as well as homeless dogs and cats being adopted into loving families to call their own. Tails 'n Tales is a place to share your story about a Dallas Animal Services pet you've adopted or perhaps great service you've received from one of our staff members. Please be aware that although we won't change the idea of your story, we may edit it for appropriateness.
Dallas Animal Services is always looking for new, creative ways to get our precious animals adopted. One of our Adoption Specialists, Catherine, decided to try something new.
On Thanksgiving Day, Catherine ran the YMCA Turkey Trot with a couple of our larger dogs, Bliss and Jacqueline. The dogs really loved to be around people and handled crowds well. When Catherine got to the race, they were very patient while she put their DAS scarves on them enjoyed being able to run the race with her.
One of the families in attendance instantly fell in love with Jacqueline and adopted her. Jacqueline, now known as November Grace, or “Novi” for short, is having lots of fun with her great, new family. Bliss was adopted by another family later on.
Happy endings for all!
